Loss of power and engine light on when idle for awhile

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me.

I have a 2005 Liberty GT 2ltr turbo and when it idles for a long period of time (say 2mins) after I have driven it for a while, the engine light comes on and the revs go up to 2500rpms, then when I accelerate the car has no power at all. My mechanic has put it on the scanner and no errors come up.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Need to get on to someone with a Tactrix cable so as to do some logging to see what is going on. Just because there are no codes doesn't mean something isn't amiss. Revs going up could mean an air leak. Being an 05 model it could be a degraded vac line. Clean the MAF and might be worth changing the 02 sensor in the dump pipe (these fail often).

Front 02 sensor on dump pipe needs replacement

I have changed the O2 sensors and cleaned the MAF and still does the same thing. It drives well, with power and everything, but when it idles at the traffic lights, the engine light comes on and the revs go up to about 2500rpm. It's a manual so if I keep releasing the clutch and revving like I'm taking off, the engine light won't turn on and I don't have any issues.

What else could it be?

If CEL comes on there must be a code.
