Gears not engaging (intermittent)Liberty Tuned by STI MY06

Postby Esho » Mon Apr 13, 2015 4:04 pm

Hi Guys,

i own a 2005 (MY06) Liberty GT tune by sti and I'm having intermattent issues when engaging mostly in 3rd gear. I have to release then re-engage the clutch causing the revs to drop. I will be changing my gearbox oil in the coming week but i just wanted to put it out there if anyone has or have had similar issues.

if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be fantastic!

Is it only when you are hard under acceleration? A pitch stop mount might help.

Changing your gearbox oil is a good idea generally though.

Stops gearbox 'pitch' and it goes from firewall to gearbox, under the TMIC

Also note that if you are doing it yourself (the oil) you will need a t70 torch bit that is special order, so you can't grab one on a weekend, you need to order it beforehand (or borrow one because this is the only time you need a t70)
