Yeah I know, that's why I generally like to diagnose and fix the issues myself with the help of others such as this forum.
I took my car to a Subaru specialist once for a stalling/rough idle issue and they told me that all 4 coils and plugs need changing at a cost of $820 incl labour. I told them I highly doubt all 4 coils & plugs are faulty and so I never went back (I initially thought it could be a coil but wasn't sure). I ended up changing one coil at a time to find out that the last one I tried was the fault and it only cost me a total of $75 (bought one coil and swapped it one at a time).
