Hi guys,

Im just picking up a half-done job which is the installation of a turbo into a MY04 Liberty GT. Ive done this job heaps of times but never on this model, and theres a part which i have no idea where it goes? It look like its a small heat shield which goes around a round inlet/outlet of the intercooler, turbo or downpipe, but not sure where - just wondering if anyone can let me know where it goes? Photos are attached - Any help would be awesome!

That goes round the turbo outlet to intercooler inlet pipe. Not sure what it's purpose is but assume it is a heat shield.

That's awesome - thanks heaps mate! I've had a look and the holes line up so I'm almost there - any chance I could be a pain and get you to post a picture so I can see which way it faces? I've got 4 possible options... Also guess it makes sense they put a small heat shield as it was the first year of the plastic intercooler end-tanks - makes more sense than the silly little oil filter in the banjo

Odd, I'm fairly confident my car doesn't have one of those. I have replaced the intercooler on mine, so I'm sure I would have noticed it if it was there.
