BOV Enquiry (GFB Decepter Pro)

Postby GT_Tony » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:35 pm

hey guys as the title states like the idea of the Decepter Pro BOV from GFB!

i know they have the 'GT Hybrid' Bolt on kits but like the in-cabin controls of the decepter.

has anyone made the Decepter Pro to fit to the GT??

(the car in question is an MY05 GT Manual)

Thanks in advance Tony

No, I think eveyrone has the HKS or the GFB Hybrid which fit the Libertys without mods. I think the Deceptor will require a special adaptor or set up.

But honestly, I can understand in-cabin controls for the shocks like the Teins or Cusco coilovers, but in-cabin for the BOV? I don't see myself changing the noise levels on a daily basis where I can't just get out, open the bonnet, and adjust it that way.

Can you see yourself adjusting shock tensioner levels on a daiily basis where you can't just get out, open the bonnet, and adjust it that way?

Nope. Not saying it's something I recommend or do myself, just something I would understand. Plus you're forgetting about the shocks in the rear, which are a lot more involved to get to and adjust.

Also there are some who want the perfect setting for the perfect situation. If one were to encounter curvy mountain roads on your way to somewhere, be great to set your dampers to a stiffer level without having to take a break to adjust all 2 or 4 corners. Then to stop to adjust them back once you drive past. Whereas BOV noise doesn't dynamically effect the driving experience.

Well shocks more than BOV, yes... but it's just shock dampening, not height! I'd pay a few hundred for something that will do height adjustment for me. :P

but yeah... rears are harder to get to.

I've been thinking about hydraulic suspension so I could get over some of those impossibly huge speed bumps. :ok:

Opps, I think we've hijacked GT_Tony's thread. Sorry!

I basically cant justify the extra expense of the in car adjustment, just so i can adjust the volume on the run IMO its more rice than function.
The only time i would see this as beneficial is when you have a cop cruising next to you, then you might like to make things quite on the fly 8) 8)
