MY05 GT Information display

Postby DEADfish » Wed Dec 17, 2014 8:49 am

Hey guys,

Noticed yesterday shortly after I started driving the information display where the clock/fuel economy/temp is displayed was just continuously flashing "ACC" on the screen. Not responding to any of the buttons either.

After driving for around 10 minutes, it just came good and started working again. The clock was now 9 minutes slow but it was all displaying correctly.

No other warning lights on the dash.

Started the car this morning and it was all fine again.

Any ideas on what might cause this? Im thinking possibly a blown fuse?

Cheers

Blown fuses never spontaneously come back :)
It's much more likely to be a loose connection or a bad earth. If nothing else was playing up at the time, it might simply be the wires to the info display, which you can trace and check by removing the radio and then half the dash.

.. Or you can wait and see if it happens again before pulling your car apart

Thanks for that Bob.

Yeah might see if it happens again. If it becomes a frequent thing, Ill have a look at the wiring.

This has happened to me before. I changed the fuse of the AC and it was all good.
