Hi there, new to the forums, I posted on legacygt.com and a member there pointed me to this forums for the JDM legacys.
I have a 2004 JDM LGT Manual with TD04HL-19T, and the mods I have are a turbo back exhaust with a aftermarket downpipe and a AEM panel air filter. Just had the injectors, sparkplugs (standard 6k heat range), new standard clutch and flywheel done not so long ago. I had a road tune done by a tuner here in NZ and the car has about 240-250hp atw. I would like to get to 300hp atw. The tuner recommended going VF36 or VF37, along with 7k sparkplugs, fuel reg, and the sti jdm intercooler. Didn't mention about the headers or downpipe.
I am bit confused on what bits are actually needed to convert from my TD04HL-19T TS to VF36/37 TS.
Do I need to change the following?
1) Headers?
2) Downpipe (already have a after market downpipe which is on the 19T and FGK exhaust currently), will this need to be changed?
3) Intercooler, I believe I have to get the sti tmic or just go FMIC correct?
4) Fuel regulator or upgrade injectors? I believe the factory standard on the JDM's are 550cc, they are the blue injectors.
