rough idle

Postby symon » Wed Nov 05, 2014 7:10 am

Hi guys, I'm having issues with my stock 04 liberty gt. It runs rough at idle and also noticeable on cruise control at 70 kmh. no fault code displayed. Car has had a full service, plugs replaced, faulty ignition coil replaced. I took it to the dealer last week for his 'expert' opinion, he said the air flow meter was faulty (reading high voltage). I replaced it...no difference, i haven't had the ecu reflashed since putting in the new MAF, do i need to?

6 months ago it threw up a code, replaced the front o2 sensor...could the issue be related?

Thanks.

I had the same issue, ended up these cars had a bad batch of injectors from the factory which was my case. On top of that a new fuel pump and filter were also causing me similar issues.

Then on top of that I had a vacuum leak. That's the easiest and cheapest diagnosis, start there.
