AVO turbo inlet pipe on gen4 lib

Postby Mr.TT » Fri Oct 03, 2014 7:24 pm

Word of advice to anyone looking to put in the turbo inlet pipe yourself, save yourself the trouble and give it to a mechanic let them deal with the head ache, I've swapped and engine out quicker than what this god forbidden silicon pipe has taken to put on unless you remove your inlet manifold its HARD :(

jest needed to vent and let people know! lol :angry2:

I've done it.
6 relaxed or was that challenging hours maybe?
It's good to have long nose pliers, an XL screwdriver, inspection mirror, wd40, etc. and a mate on hand for moral and physical support.

I'd do it again :)

sliding the plugs in wasn't the problem the pipe fitting under my manifold properly was, it wasn't relaxed hours a lot of sweating involved under the sun with no alcohol and a shit load of smokes, next time around if i have to do it my choice of tool would be a stripper so i wouldn't be swearing in ever language under the sun! lol

We sell turbo inlet pipes for the 2.0GT's...

They help with spool, bit of power & but they also don't crack/split like OEM one...
