O2 sensor question

A few questions for those mechanically minded types on here. Just changed the O2 sensor on our 04' GT wagon, the one behind the turbo, reached from under the hood. Took the car back to the dealer to have the ECU error codes cleared and they tell me the O2 sensor is faulty?? So now they tell me the O2 sensor at the back is faulty and I've changed the wrong one. All my research pointed at the front one. Anyway my questions are;
- how many O2 sensors does the 2004 GT have?
- where are they located (I'm familiar with the one under the hood obviously)
- can they be interchanged - ie - can the front one be moved to the rear. I would be surprised if they were different but who knows.
Thanks in advance for any advice/info etc....
Regards, Matt.

LOL. I gave up trying to fix my problems and traded the nugget in. Hope this isnt the start of never ending sensor problems for you too.
I think there is another sensor down further somewhere? I only changed the one you did too.

Wait, so you got another cel after the new sensor was installed? Or just went to the dealer to get the codes cleared?
O2 sensor code is stored so even once the problem is fixed it will still come up on the scan

There are two: one in the DP near the turbo and another in the "forward" pipe (near the back cat-convertor)
And..

Thanks for the feedback.
Zach - I just took the car in to have the code cleared.
Sean - thanks for the info. I'll see if I can fit the one I removed from the DP to the rear position.

It sounds to me like they plugged the code scanner into your car and said your O2 sensor is stuffed, but that CEL was an old stored code from before it was replaced..
I would just get the codes cleared (if you haven't already) and see how it goes.. I haven't heard of the rear O2 failing, no where near as often as the front anyway.
