Has anyone had problems with the ecu throwing a code for the cam angle sensors. Bank 1 sensor A. It takes a while to start, then when it gets warm it starts to hunt and almost stalls out on idle. Had the wiring tested, all good. Replaced the sensor too. No change. The car is an 05-06 sti liberty wagon. I need help

What oil are you using? viscosity? I have read this can do it....when was your last change oil? flushing the oil quite a few times may also help.....esp if there is gunk ...

wiring tested? so you see the 5v square wave occurring? pulsating? as the sensor is basically a hall effect sensor detecting the cam lobe as it rotates...

you AVCS could be also influencing the cam angle sensor...I would check, banjo filter, AVCS solenoid, etc etc...you can log your AVCS if possible and see if they are in sync? many threads on here abouts how, what etc etc..

Cant remember which oil, changed under a month ago though. Possibly some crap was dilodged after the change and made its way to a banjo. Definitely plausible. Any other ideas?

Yeah mate thats the code. I've checked the banjo on top of bank 1 intake cam at the front, no filter there and looks clean. Or could it be located on the other end on the banjo under the intake to the turbo?

Ive pulled the filter out of there now. Dropped the oil. Gonna run it again for a while and drop it again to see if it flushes some crap out.
