Hi there guys,

could someone please tell me where else to look for for vacuum leaks. I have checked all the common areas and I can't seem to find anything out of the ordinary.

The car has developed a slight shudder during idle and small drop in the revs. So far I swapped out the following and the issue is still there.

Injectors, ignition coil, map sensor, maf sensor, front o2 sensor, checked for vacuum leaks (where visible) , check diagnostic codes all ok.

Anyone out there that can help?

P.S my mechanic couldn't find the issue either.

Can you detail what you believe are the common areas?

The most common is the TMIC to throttle body on the Gen4. Did you check that?

Also did you check the BOV, or the TMIC to turbo?

I check BOV return hose, I checked map sensor to throttle body at the front of the engine, I checked hoses on the turbo inlet , checked hoses on the turbo from wastegate to T piece.

With the TMIC and throttle body what am I looking for ? split hose disconnected hoses? Should I take the top mount of again ?

TMIC to TB you are looking for the shit house piece of crap stock TB hose coming lose or being split.

Did you also check Turbo inlet to Turbo connection. I haven't heard of that on stock items, but you haven't mentioned if you have any aftermarket bits.

yup just checked the turbo inlet and tmic to TB hose all seems fine. only after market thing on the car is the turbo back exhaust but the problems were there before the exhaust was installed.

By the way car drives perfectly fine on boost cruising etc. only at idle has a slight shudder...

Do the aerosol vac leak test.
Log the VVT as you might have a clogged avcs filter.

Oh yes , I already checked the avcs filters too banjo bolts on both passenger and driver side... All good no filter in them....

Where do I get the aerosol vac leak tester from ?

Log a parameter whilst spraying carb cleaner in engine bay...

The stock inlet etc can look like it's attached but be slipped off under or torn even.
Aerosol will confirm...

Have also seen split turbo to wastegate vacuum hoses and even the MAP sensor hose with splits

I had a similar problem with my 04 Liberty GT and took it to my mechanic who checked all the codes and found it was the VVT on the passenger side which was clogged up. He removed it, cleaned it and ever since then it has been faultless.

Another idea could be the return hose on top of the BOV can come off at the other end underneath the intercooler. When I did my BOV I pulled it off under the intercooler which required me to remove the intercooler and put it back on. Don't know exactly where it connects to but it is under the front of the intercooler.

We found the problem with mine it turns out driver side exhaust vvt is out of sync. So i believe it needs to be cleaned but for the life of me i can't find where its located on the engine... And the actual procedure to clean it.

PostFL the filter banjo is under the turbo inlet on top of the block.

PreFL it's at the back of the drivers side head iirc.
Where the avcs and turbo oil feed pipe originates.
But also check the avcs solenoid banjos for clogging too.

If you google the ip&t oil line upgrade on LGT there's plenty of info.
Do same for avcs solenoid and etc.
I'll dig up the links when I'm on a pc...

Ahh, I colls point you to the passenger side one in 2 seconds, it's easy to find but have no idea about the drivers side. I watched my mechanic and he seemed to pull it out, undo the harness from the top and then wipe it down and clean the muck out of it and reinstall. Took less than 5 minutes. Good luck finding it.
