FYI - I personally don't think there will be any issue with the 18G.

I have experience with AVO400L and the Dom 1.5 fitting fine (same as 18G).

The 380 XT is more of a bolt on replacement for the 07+ GT (post facelift).

The other turbo you might consider is old faithful VF34.....

I'll see if I can get a picture of the Blouch Dom 1.5 fitted to the pw for you (can't promise)......

Vf34 is lame.
Dom 1.5 is going to spool a fair bit later than an 18g.
18g xtr is honestly the go.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

Absolutely agree with this (except for the VF34).....

The Dom 1.5 will be too big for the 2.0 - nice on a 2.5 though.......

Dom 1.5 twin scroll will be perfect for a 2.0

But the reality is you won't be able to use it to its potential unless you had a built bottom end

Plus you would need to change to jdm wrx Sti twin scroll headers which is what the blouch twin scroll housing is suited to, which differs from the liberty twin scroll manifold

So if you're going to all that trouble for only 220-230kw atw, you may as well stick with a second hand twin scroll setup from jdm wrx Sti and use the vf36/37/49/55/56 twin scroll turbo that comes with it.

That will still make that power and be reliable and twin scroll

18g with a topmount will be very responsive.

How much effort was it to fit the 18G. What else did you need t make it fit?

Well because I changed from a vf38 twin scroll, so there was a couple changes.
I had to replace the headers, which made the air intake to the turbo slightly clash with the intake manifold. It was okay though because I have a complete silicone intake already which I slightly manipulated.
The pipe for the cooler was obviously different, I used a specific process west one. this matched up well with my existing process west tmic.
I made a braided line up for the turbo oil feed and connected it directly behind the pressure switch at the front of the block and I just capped the old feed. the turbo and right hand intake OCV solenoid shared the same oil feed, which wasnt a problem with the vf38. But the 18G is a ball bearing turbo and my the theory is that the oil would flow through the easiest course, so I moved it to prevent an issue of starving the OCV. I'm not going to say that it was necessary, but it was just a precaution I took.
The turbo flange is different on the 18G than the vf38, so the dump pipe had to be different. I used a Invidia turbo back exhaust system anyway, so the flange matched. I did have to modify the "bolt on" dump pipe though, i dont think this was related to the 18G turbo though. I think the "aus spec" dump pipe that was meant to be "bolt on" was just plain wrong, nothing lined up on the horizontal with the gearbox. I had to cut, extend and change the offset to a more aggressive angle.
So that's my story.
