Exhaust Question

Postby MishaGT » Sun Apr 13, 2008 2:11 pm

HI all,

Are there any differences between the Fujitsubo LEGALIS SUPER R and the LEGALIS-R MUFFLER TYPE EVO SV ?? They are both listed on japanparts to fit an 05 gt but the TYPE EVO SX costs abit more.

I beleive both of these are cat back only? what else do i need to change for it to be a full turbo back exhaust? up / dump pipes? I know there are a few brands available, Hks, Avo, etc would any of these fit directly on with the Fujitsubo exhaust systems? Any information would be helpful!!

Thanks
MishaGT

No idea, but just buy the more expensive one.

Expensive is better. 8)

Look at Trieu's HKS downpipe. That should bolt up to the Y-pipe, which would be part of the Fujitsubo exhaust.

One difference between them is the legalis SUPER r has round mufflers & the legalis r has oval mufflers.

I dont know what the "type evo sx" means on the legalis r exhaust & if there are any other differences between the two. :?
Cheers,

Rosso.

Unfortunately I too am unable to read Japanese so looking through the Fujitsubo website is merely looking at pictures and numbers. But from what I can gather, the Legalis Super R produces about 3 db more noise and 1kw more power. The Type EVO SV has a larger, more oval muffler so I suspect it was designed to deliver a bit lower volume of sound. I'm guessing the more expensive one introduces a bit more noise control while still keeping the power increases to a maximum.

Cheers lads!

Looks like Legalis Super R is the way to go!

If I decide on this cat back exhaust and decide to get say the HKS dump pipe, will these 2 fit directly or will they need to be modified?

and does Legalis Super R + HKS dump pipe = tbe?

any other dump pipes worthy?

thanks!!

They should. My rationale is, if they are both designed to bolt-on to the stock one, then they should both have stock flanges :P

Yes.

AVO one isn't badly priced; see how much Trieu is selling his for :)

Sorry, the reason Trieu is selling it is because it's a HKS downpipe made for the WRX, not the Liberty.

They won't under-value items, I tried asking

It is 15% of the cost of the item, plus 10% GST on top of it all.

Sup Lads!

So let me get this correct:

Trieu is selling HKS dump pipe for WRX? Although I CAN get a HKS dump pipe for the liberty from phatman?

AVO vs HKS dump pipe ? any major differences in terms of sound and power?
