Taillights - 06 TBSTI

Hello All,

Recently I had a small accident and broke the RHS taillight on the Lib. I purchased a second hand item off eBay which I was told was off an 04 model but obviously bolts straight in, but what I have noticed is the RHS one is noticeably darker than the LHS. Does anyone know if the lights were a different design as they moved through the years, as I am sure there's a cosmetic difference in how the lights look. If anyone wants a pic to show the difference I am happy to post a couple to show the difference itself.

Well as far as I know they are all the same, but I swear mine look darker than a friend of mine who has a white gen 4 2006 prefacelift. I thought it must just be an illusion because my car is darker in general, but maybe the 04 lights were a bit darker than the coming years? I'd be interested to see a pic of the difference too

No problem, I will take a pic on my phone and post up.

I have recently had one side replaced after being rear ended and I'll say that the replaced one looks a bit different. The 'horizontal lines' that go through the tail-light are more pronounced on the original light. I think this may be related to sun-damage though?

MY06 taillight cover is full clear compare to 04 ones where it got a slight darker tint to it.

I got MY06 GT and i like the slight darker taillight so i replaced with 04 ones.

Thanks for clearing that up, didn't think it was just me I will make a decision on which ones I like better, but think the 06 ones are my choice.
