VF38 oil return

Postby keilos » Tue Aug 27, 2013 2:26 pm

Hey guys,

I recently rebuilt the VF38 on my liberty and everything was running well, or so I thought. Oil has started leaking and I've managed (after much annoyance) to locate the issue as the stock oil feed return line from the turbo to the block splitting, the rubber section. I'm hoping that someone can help me out here with the inner diameter measurement of that rubber hose, as Subaru tell's me it'll be a 3 week wait for the hose and $100. I can buy appropriate material locally for under a quarter of that price, and have it fixed quickly! Well, as quickly as you can take out a VF38 that is..

SO! If anyone could help me out that would be fantastic.

Cheers,
Justyn.

at a guess 10mm inner diameter.

best bet is to take it off, walk to the store, say "i want this, but not broken", walk home and fix it.

let them know its for an oil return off a turbo, because that goes through some big temperature changes.
Built not bought, it's a way of life.
