I'm looking into getting the MRT intake and EcuTek done to my standard manual 05 GT. Probably going to get Mercury Motorsport to do this as I am in Brisbane. Anyone got any feedback or reviews on these guys?

Also what kind of power am I looking at getting with these 2 mods? I know its minimal but im interested in numbers.

Cheers,
Misha.

I got the exact done at MRT and here is a MRT Dyno for my car

also in this one I don't think I had the CAI

The MRT dyno reads higher than others. Hope this helps

Sup Lads,

Cheers for all the replies and good info.!

I will be booking my car in soon for mrt intake and ecutek!

Hopefully if all goes well turbo back exhaust will come after.

I have heard that we cant get the true boxer rumble from the Liberty? is this true and why? Also what full exhaust systems are available - and what do people currently have installed?

Cheers,
Misha

Misha, why don't you do the exhaust before the tune? So you don't have to do it twice.

On the 2.0T, it's not possible to get the boxer rumble because it uses even-length exhaust headers. You can change to uneven ones, but that's going a step back in performance to get some nice noise...

The 2.5T is uneven, so they get rumble.

Should you get a cat back exhaust then it won't make any power/performance difference, simply i will sound better. Kind of the same story with a Cold Air Intake. Maybe each of these will give you a few kw?

Apparently a pod and CAI will gain 8-10kW over stock, I'm assuming this is tuned. I've heard this from three tuners, as well as anecdotal evidence.

I'm now using an AVO panel filter though... :P

a cat back exhaust will make more power, its the muffler thats determines the sound
