Sticky Clutch.. But Not Slipping?

Postby suff » Thu Mar 27, 2008 4:00 pm

Hi Guys

Weird one for you all.. Over the last ~3-4 weeks my clutch has become sticky, when depressed you can feel a slight vibration through the pedal, a few nights ago after a spirited run, when fully depressed you could here a "clicking sound" (never repeated since that night) as though the clutch was not fully disengaged

There is no slipping of the clutch, and once fully engaged, drives as usual.. but if you where to engage the clutch, the first ~1" of travel feels normal.. then the next 2" seem to be "sticky" and then it finally grabs properly and off we go..

I have had slipping clutches before, but this is nothing like it! Just dont want to pay the $1000-1200 to get the clutch replaced and then find out there was nothing wrong with it..

Thanks in advance!
