Differences between JDM '2.0GT' and '2.0GT spec.B' ?

Does anyone have a list of the differences between the 2 versions? It is a question we have been trying to work out on uklegacy forum...

Spotted:

Front Bumper with extensions on the corners
18" wheels with 215/45/18 tyres
Gearing to suit larger diameter tyres

Anything else?

Cheers

Rear bar, Turbo, I think the JDM's run HID lights and maybe the interior trim is a little different too.

Alloy lower control arms front and rear, larger sway bars, heated seats, heated mirrors, heated windscreen wipers, remote rear seat controls, fold in mirrors, front and rear bar, 206 kw, 4.44 FD, rear LSD ( do the AUS have that??), billies, hid, rear led fog light, single reverse light, different rear muffler boxes, front bar, engine covers, ps covers etc, legacy badging, alloy legacy scuff plates, 180 km/hr speedo, 190km/ hr speed limiter, electroluminescent legacy dials. That is all I have noticed so far.

I dont think most of that is true, my jdm GT has most of what you mentioned. except different wheels, gearbox code, and front bumper. im not sure the jdm gt spec b even has heated seats or remote rear seat controls, well at least my friends spec b doesnt

Mine didn't have heated seats - just the material covered ones, electric on drivers side. Mine does have the flick the switch in the boot room and one side or other of the rear seat flops forward - is that what you mean by remote rear seat controls... and also in the wagon has reclining rear seats...

Only the leather cars have heated seats.

Only differences I ever thought were added for the spec b were 18" alloys and updated bilstein suspension?

Looked at and drove both today. Aside from the obvious styling differences, front and rear bars, and wheels, the main difference is in the tuning. The GT is softer in every way, springs, damping, boost/tune, auto trans tune, steering, and seats and feels very different to drive to the much sharper, firmer Spec B. Both have alloy control arms, alloy diff carrier, finned alloy diff cover, and Bilstien shocks. Brakes are the same in both models. Spec B seats have firmer bolstering and also has auto trans cooler as standard. The Spec B also has a VF44 turbo where the GT still uses the VF38(AT)/TD04HLA(MT).

To sum it up the GT is more of a luxury tourer with more of a focus on comfort where the Spec B has more of a sportier, performance attitude.

Wrong. Mine is not spec B and I have VF44 as stock. Type of turbo depends on year, not spec B vs not spec B.

True and no one has ever made a typing error or changed a turbo for a newer one.

HA!

In Jamaica, all the JDM legacies i've seen carry bilstein suspension. Even mine came with it (Leather seats, auto), though mine is SDM (singapore)

...um... that's about all i can contribute
