This is what I use in my hand grenade. I just make sure it gets changed like every 2500km. Expensive hobby, but no doubt worth it.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

OP - "Im going to be servicing my car shortly but im unsure on what oil to use. Can these engines take any sort of turbo oils or is there a specific oil that should be used? Do the later models use different oil strengths than earlier models?"

BY 'SERVICING' you mean adding fuel additive, changing the oil filter and oil and doing upper engine cleaner.. every 5000k's like?

... Really do you mean him best oil for a standard car? You didn't list a need for any special oil, like running in a 3.6L stroker etc... so 'subaru' genuine is very safe.. so is any $40+ 5-30 or 10-40 from super cheap/BP/autobarn/chineebay etc.. just the cheapest full syn 10-40/45/50 works for QLD temps.. If you get any real 'winna' (winter) temps you might go 5W-30/40/50/70 etc HTH

A fella once told me Mobil 1 is called that because it was originally made to be put it once.. and not need changing ever that is..

Soobi, i used the upper engine cleaner last weekend and ive got an apexi filter and i dont use fuel additives. I will just be doing oil and filter change and probably cleaning my AFM. Its just a standard liberty gt. My first oil change on my first subaru and just dont know much about these yet. A bit of a headache so far and sort of regretting getting it.

If that's the case buddah you would be using sunflower oil, since you love the sun and flowers so dearly....

OP - There is another oil thread from a couple of months ago. This discusses some of the techincal aspects instead of rubbish like the above statement

Feel free to look it up and have an enlightening read. And don't be dejected mate - this is part of the joys of ownership. You will soon learn its better to take an active interest in your pride and joy than just hand the keys over to someone else and turn a blind eye to what they do.

Don't look at it as a headache - more of a labour of love :)

So much shit about oil brands ask the same question on different forums and you get different answers . some like brand "A" because there mother in laws uncle likes it he dosn't know why he likes it but his next door neighbor said it gives more HP so he must be right .

Ok smart bums give me a list on brands and why one is better than the other when they are the same type ,viscosity, and meet the same standard specs ????

And dont give me feel by the bum HP ratings or it feels better sounds better or some stupid thing like after 5000k the oil was blacker

This list must be you own experience not what you Googled
I had x years in the oil game as a marketer and know whats in a name and whats in a product this was done using a spectrophotometry you would be surprised what ppl pay for a name against a shelf brand

You're making some sweeping assumptions there again buddah

Most people are on here to learn, so instead of casting dispersions on everyone's "knowledge", which you so greatly seem to possess, why don't you let us bask in your greatnesss for a little and enlighten us with your awesomeness by imparting some of that extremely credible information you carry.

If I may just make one suggestion before you do so, you may want to withhold your glowing review of a certain workshop lest the youngens' mistake your enthusiasm for lack of credibility...
