I don't think that surprises anyone.

Ok smart bums give me a list on brands and why one is better than the other when they are the same type ,viscosity, and meet the same standard specs ????
And dont give me feel by the bum HP ratings or it feels better sounds better or some stupid thing like after 5000k the oil was blacker
This list must be you own experience not what you Googled
I had x years in the oil game as a marketer and know whats in a name and whats in a product this was done using a spectrophotometry you would be surprised what ppl pay for a name against a shelf brand

Oh look... Someone wants to get all technical and adult like.
I'll go out on a whim here...
I'm pretty sure no one gives a toss about your opinions or your oil marketing days champion and you having something to say about paying for a name against a shelf brand is a massive surprise when you drink that gay, dick in bum beer you love and will drive a country mile for.

Are you seriously that socially inept that you are oblivious to how you come across?
Or are you that deluded that you see it but don't care, convincing yourself of your superiority complex actually being true? Do you live in a box?
It defies belief, really now.

I bought the car for $16,000 8 months back and blew it at 130,000 kms. After doing the rebuild I did 10,000 kms on the new engine then blew it again.
Ideas? Options? ?!?!?!?!?!

I'm using Delvac MX15W-40. It's what MSR recommends and as a tuner and a guy who's been spot on with his work so far I'm happy to take his advice.
He does recommend 5000km oil change intervals when using Delvac too.
dr20t wrote:Bruce does he recommend this for all EJ motors? Is it irrespective of age / config?
So oem 2.0 ej205 and oem ej255/257? 20,000kms, 100,000kms, 200,000kms?
Built motors? Again is it dependent on kms for these built motors?
Curios what his thoughts would be on this
And GT subi - don't give engine advice please...

gtsubi wrote:i was recommended by some subaru forums to use DELVAC.
But anyway, i figured the reason why i spun the bearing.
Was due to use of WRONG PERTROL, was using 95 instead of 98. Strang enough :s
