Hi everyone

I have a Liberty GT MY05 and recently the Multifunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and crusie control lights have been flashing when I'm driving.

Has anyone experienced these problems?

Thanks

Johnny

Hi,
Most commonly it's caused by an O2 sensor.

Not necessarily the O2 sensor, it can be anything. Only way to find out is to pull the error codes.

I mean, it's the most common error on these things... and that triggers the cruise blinking... from what I've read.

Yep - happened to mine recently, and was diagnosed as faulty O2 sensor

Drop into a Subaru dealer and ask them to read the error code out.
If it's one you go to for regular servicing, I doubt they'd charge you to do it.

please see link below to find the error code.

Thanks guys.

I had the dealership look at it and the AF sensor is faulty.

Advised car is out of warranty (by a few months). $700+ to fix.
I'm dirty!!

Can anyone recommend where I can take it for a reasonable price.
I'm in Sydney

Thanks

How well do you know the guys at your Subaru dealership? Comes down to the part price, really - fitting it isn't too ahrd.

yeah subaru quoted me $750 for afm. managed to get it cheaper thanks to mr phat. also had to changed my sparks plugs cause driving with faulty afm fouled my plugs. i'd recommend not drive your car cause when the afm is completely dead the car wont start. happened to me only a few weeks ago....

Silly question, but have you pulled the MAF appart, and cleaned all the contacts with electrical cleaner (and the element), I doubt that subaru would have done this for you, an error code could me something as little as a poor contact or dry joint, dont have much to loose do ya!

Where abouts are you located?
