Hi all,

I've recently bought my first liberty and am having an issue, in which on full throttle/boost the car is making a strange hum/whistle and hitting boost cut. It probably does this 70% of the time on boost.
My car is a 04 lib gt with a vf34. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe a boost leak somewhere and hoping the turbo wasn't farked! I have it booked into s&j next weekend but wanted your ideas!.

This will cause overboost and the whistle you refer to

I bought it off a guy called Damien. Its DaCrpldOne's old car.Ill post in the introductions section after i take some new pics.

It has a stage 3 ecutek tune, that was done when the turbo setup was installed roughly 5 years ago.

Its probably a hose considering the cut of boost from the ecu.
It does take me back to an innocent sound (i thought) from my other car...bearings gone. Housing scored. new turbo.$$$

Well, I'm hoping it's just a hose!, I'll find out on Saturday, haven't been driving it on boost so hopefully there's no damage done.

Well, got my car back from s&j, it just needed a little retune. Sean had it for an hour or so and now no more issues! Goes way harder now. Very happy with the service from s&j!
