USDM Parts for AUDM?

Postby suff » Mon Feb 11, 2008 12:08 am

Hi Guys

I am looking at getting a Perrin Up Pipe and Perrin Down Pipe from the US, also a few other bits and pieces (get them shipped across in one hit by a mate) such as a kart boy short shifter..

My question is, will the US parts fit an AU car? (ie the down/up pipes) they use the same VF40 turbo, but with the car's being LHD and 2.5l is the pipework different? same goes with the short shifter, will there be a difference being LHD rather than RHD?

Sorry for the silly questions, but figure its better to ask than presume and find out the hard way!

Thanks in advance!

Chris

They will be different. I know with the AVO frontpipe, the JDM one is different to the USDM one.

it might fit the 2.5L but not your model.

this is a shot in the dark...

but i'm guessing that if you go FMIC, you might need to rotate the turbo, and a 2 section downpipe lets u replace only one bit?

like i said, it's a shot in the dark.

actually I am interested in the perrin gear.. I have always had good experience with them, but they dont seem to make any AUDM or JDM parts for the lib's (they did on the Forester's)
