04 TMIC options (08+wrx?)

Postby ben#986 » Fri May 25, 2012 2:46 pm

Good afternoon, brains trust.

I'm chasing a cheap TMIC option for my auto 04 LGT, and I've noticed that sometimes TMICs are listed as compatible with 05-09 libertys/legacys as well as the 08+ wrx. eg, http://www.avoturbo.com/avoshop/mount-i ... p-683.html

If they are interchangeable, has anyone seen any flow comparisons between the stock LGT TMIC and the stock 08+ wrx one?

Cheers in advance.

Not interchangeable. The turbos have different compressor outlets and the subsequent connector to the cooler. You are kind of over a barrel there.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

Haha, yeah I'm tempted but I couldn't justify the spend. It's for my wifes car, so it's not a must-have. I'm just looking out for bargains.

Mine started out that way too, planned to keep it completely stock as the wife was driving it until i brought her another car last year. Low and behold once i had the car and got used to the power (dare i say lack thereof) it didn't take long for the modification bug to sink it's teeth in

Best & biggest you can get for the EJ20T Libertys is the HKS set up. It's also a lot light when compared to AVO & other similar priced brands.

Here's a pic off my old girl:
