If GFB supply's washers for the BOV, take it apart because you put some more washers in to tighten the spring so it doesn't realease to much atmo, this will cure until a tune...!
Ur car thinks its Getting full plum back..! But it's not so it stalls

You can put old BOV til then..!
It could be lots of things though..!

Or check the boost actuator, mine got stuck open a bit and wouldn't boost higher than 10psi

Have you tried stalling it up on brake to see if it holds boost?
Could be a mutlitude of things:
- boost leak somewhere
- restriction in the exhaust causing it to build pressure and thereby restricting turbines ability to generate boost
- bov faulty
- loose vacuum hose
- boost solenoid faulty
- wastegate stuck partially open
- damaged turbo
If you have a Tactrix cable do some loggig and see what it is or if you like swing round my place this Saturday and I'll log it myself for you and cheek it out free of charge to save you the hassle with a mechanic who knows two tenets of jack squat and chafes you through your Ass only to tell you there is no turbo on these cars in Australia and that you're imagining things

You're welcome mate happy to try and help if I can. And no need to be sorry at all mate we all have knowledge gaps no one knows everything.
Sounds like the bov might be your issue.
Let us know how you go at Wsid tomorrow. Hope you run a better time than me man!
If I leave work early enough I'll try come up for a run too.

Man I just read my first post again.
Talk about bad case of iPhone auto correct and ironic choice of words.
For the record I meant Check it for you nt cheek, and a mechanic that "charges" you through the ass. Not chaffes you

Autocorrect is a gaint pain in the ass at times.
I put the stock bov on this morning and the only difference i found was a horrible whine comming from my intake. It started to sound like a duck. I put the gfb bov back on and everything went back to normal, but the boost guage still says im getting 10-12PSI. Lucky i have the autometer guage otherwise i wouldnt know its performing any different.
I did notice though, ther clamp wich hold the house onto the bov is a bit loose & a plug on the T-piece on the vacuum house is slightly worn. Im assuming the problem resides between these two. On my next day off ill have to replace both and see how it travels.
Depending if the weather hold out, i still want to have a run at eastern creek tonight.

Pro tip: if there is something obviously wrong with a vehicle, don't run it at the drags/sprint day/Pikes Peak/tractor pulls. You will just end up with a dead car/tractor.
If Mick's offer is still there to look over the car, take him up on that. Trust him, he is a doctor.
Ps: don't put too much faith into a boost gauge. Once again, Dr20t, tactrix, data log, and check over shit. My Autometer was telling me i was running 23+ psi at times, all well and good, but boost cut was 20.3 lbs.

Thanks for that. Im just keen on having a run that's all. Ill probably go just to have a look anyway. I won't have a race this week.... I'll hold out untill I get my exhaust and tune.
Stupid boost gauges confusing everyone hahaha.
Unfortunatly being a uni student, I work weekend but I'll keep in contact with mil throughout the week.
