Rattling noise from engine bay - 2005 GT

I have a 2005 Liberty GT, and under acceleration (particularly between 2000-3000 rpm), I can sometimes hear a rattling noise coming from the engine bay. Rattling might not be the right word, it almost sounds as like a "dirty" induction or scrolling/grinding noise. I can't hear it at higher revs, but that might be because the engine noise is drowning it out. Also don't hear it when I rev the car when it's at a standstill.
The car did have it's turbo replaced/rebuilt 5000kms ago... could it be related? Or some other issue?

rattling like a ball bearing in a tin-can.
could be the engine knocking
do you use 98 RON fuel?
or because you have had the turbo replaced, it could just be the exhaust heat-shields vibrating
to some inspections by banging on the heat-shields and seeing if the rattle.
or rev the car and hold it at about 3000rpm and see if they vibrate

Yes, almost sounds like a rattling ball in a tin-can, but it's very faint.
Yep using 98 Ron fuel.. have tried different brands.
Thanks - will try your suggestions.

Sounds like a heat shield to me. Theres approx 11 thousand bolts in those heat shields. I bet the mechanic got lazy and didnt refit them all.

I just fitted a Phat dump this morning to a 2.5 and the heat shield removal is the most time consuming part of the swap.
