So i got all my rebuild parts from US, everything turned up today, no problems however when i was dropping the parts over to my mechanic he was just finished stripping the engine and he said that the oil pump he took off was 12mm whereas the new one i got is 11mm. I was under the assumption that the standard pump was only 10mm. so seems like the jdm engines come with a 12mm one as standard, should i be ok putting the new 11mm one on? Or i could get the old one cleaned up and re-used but i dont fancy doing that.

As long as your 12mm pump is cleaned good and proper, i'd be going with that, the 11mm STI oil pump i thought was for an EJ25. wont know until you confirm the part number with Subaru.
