Modding MY06 GT STi

Postby Matty4 » Thu Aug 23, 2007 5:13 pm

Hi all,
I'm thinking about buying an MY06 GT tuned by STi and was wondering if anyone has modded theirs in any way for more power, low down response, driveability etc?
Is the STi tuned ECU easily improved upon or are just bolt ons the way to go, ie., TBE, CAI etc.
Seeing as though it's doesn't have SI drive I assume that the tunes for the normal GT (eg, ECUTEK or any interceptors) would still suit. Any advise appreciated.

Cheers,
Matty

Just treat it like you would any std car - the rules are simple :
get air into it and out of it as quick as possible, keep everything as cool as possible and make sure everything is controlled and tuned to suit.

In other words:
intake
exhaust
ecu
intercooler
turbo
etc etc

Thanks guys,
my biggest concern is ruining or devaluing what is a limited edition car. I'd like to keep it looking stock with the good bits out of sight. I'll see how things pan out with regard to the purchase of the car first. Once (if) I have it in my possession then I'll get serious about it. If I don't get it, then I'll have plenty more cash free to mod my B4.....hehe
