Hey all im after some information on fuel comsumption (normal driving, having some fun) and the power/ torque across the rev range between the 2.0T and the 2.5T.

Well in a way it's practical. I know some people who only check the 2.0T section but not the other so they would have missed it otherwise.

Well are you talking about 2.0T manual or automatic? As they ran different turbo's...

i was looking at getting a manual but leaning towards n auto so the wife can drive it if need be

Buy your wife a cheap manual and have her drive it occasionally until she gets used to it, that's what I did, now she loves driving the GT.

No use handicapping yourself to an auto.
