So I went down to pulse after work yesterday and if they'd had the part in they would have done it then and there so I'll be going back after work tomorrow to have it fitted in a quick 30 min.

Pretty happy I have to say with the price difference and the fact I won't have to take a day off work just to have something so simple fixed.

Ryan, thank you for your input you definitely saved me a bundle. The guys at pulse racing are great. Friendly staff and more than happy to talk to you about anything and everything about your car. I'll definitely be going back.

Had the problem sorted Thursday arvo and no more check engine light and the car is smooth as on idle now, no jumping round the rev range.

All in all very happy to have my car running like it should again :-)

Hey all,
My GT has just thrown a CEL for this issue.
BUT having spoken with my bud (who is a master subaru mech)
Apparently this is a common issue with Liberties 03-09.
So Subaru have finally put out a revised 02 sensor, he has yet to see the new one fail.
So if you are getting this fitted the old version is http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 655wt_1163
I don't know the new serial yet but will post when I know what it is.
Cheers, Scott

Phat was very helpful and has the new ones in stock.
I believe the revised sensor Subaru code is (22641-AA391) if anyone is interested.
Which I planned to pick up but this morning the 02 CEL has disappeared.
(I have no doubt that it will come back though)
So I will pick it up when the thing finally gives up.

sorry to bump an old thread guys

ive got a 2005 3.0r sedan

but yeah my car was feeling sluggish and fuel consump went up from 11 to 13 (its tuned btw)

brought it into the mechanic and was diagnosed as a "failing 02 sensor"
it did not produce any error codes yet and the CEL is not on

they said they couldnt diagnose which o2 sensor it was (since there's 4 apparently)
they said i can either repalce all 4 (which doesnt sound logical to me) or wait till it produces an error code

my question is:
- is there a way to tell which sensor is failing if the code isnt produced yet?
i dont want to drive around with a sluggish car

- will it damage my car in any way if i keep driving along like this?

thanks guys!
really appreciate it :D
