I believe it was a Bosch sensor but i'm not 100% sure as Paul sourced it for me after giving Subaru a ring to see if they would replace it under warrenty. They said NO, so he went out and got an aftermarket one.

Can you find out where he got it from and the part number cause I'm sure that info will be invaluable to alot of people sooner or later..

Just bumping this one up as another member has asked recently about o2 sensors.

Q- No reply from Paul regarding the part details. I think he may be hesitant to release details, because he usually relies solely on OEM parts, and said mine was the first time he had used a aftermarket o2 sensor. He kept on asking if i minded a non-subaru part. I just said so long as it works i don't care.
If you search under the following part numbers though you can find them listed for around the $300 mark at a number of Australian online motor stores including ebay.

Part No.. 22641AA220 (bank 1) and 22641AA390 (bank 2).

I searched under the Bosch list of sensors and none are listed for GenIV Libs. Perhaps try Denso...?? If you have the time and a sparkplug socket you should be able to change it yourself.

Hey Guys,

Is this a AF sensor issue as well? (pic + link to my topic question)

Could be any number of things mate, all that pic shows is that the ECU has thrown a CEL error. You can check what error it is yourself:

Open the fuse cover to the bottom left of the steering wheel.
Reach to the top left inside the cover. You will find 2 wires with corresponiding connectors, one black and one light green.
Connect these 2 wires together.
Turn the car to ignition (but do not start it) while holding down the odometer reset button.
Odometer/trip meter screen will now show the last CEL error recorded.
Disconect the 2 wires before driving the car again.

9/10 chance the code reads P0031: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1) which (like you suspect) means your front O2/AF sensor is stuffed.

Thanks Brad, I will use these steps next time. I just wanted to be careful this time (It's only been 3-4 short weeks since I bought it). Turns out it was caused by my aftermarket exhaust, but everything is good.
