I was probably pushing it harder before the work, not having as much power, revving it harder and more often, was usually around the 7.5 to 8km per L... I think having more power has made the foot lighter, as you are more tentative as to when and how you use it... even if i do a lot of harder/quicker accelerating driving, it hangs around the high 7's (14 to 15L/100)... but is quicker than other cars (aus V8's) that drink anywhere between 18 and 28L/100km from what i've seen in some friends cars when they push them...
As a lighter mod, if you're not too keen on the XC, a reflash alone, does make the car a lot nicer to drive, i did all mine in stages, not all at once, made it more enjoyable, once i found it slow again, i'd do something else, and the story goes...
