Well comparing the 06STi Auto map I have to the MY04 ADM Auto map I have, I found the only differences to be in the Timing Advance B and Open Loop Fuelling B map as can be seen:

STi Vs ADM.jpg
STi Vs ADM.jpg (236.87 KiB) Viewed 4644 times

However when comparing this to the JDM Auto 04 file I see the following comparison:

STi Vs JDM.jpg

As you can see there is no difference! This doesnt suprise me as the JDM car is rated to 190kw in Auto form, same as the STi. so it seems people payed quite a premium for what was simply them loading the JDM map and telling people to run 98 Ron (as well as the slightly less restrictive mufflers at the rear)

So there you go, will be loading the JDM map on my car as soon as my cable arrives and logging knock etc to be sure its running safe on 98 ;)

EDIT:
WOOT Cable is here! Will be reading ROMS by the weekend hopefully. Just need to be sure I get all the right drivers for my laptop ;)

ROM ID is A2WD010Y - dont suppose anyone can confirm this is the correct ROM ID for a MY06 Auto STi?

I don' think so I have that as a standard 05/06 LGT rom.
For those that are interested I have a large slab of stock roms for WRX/STI/LGT/For in JDM/EDM/AUS/USDM all sorted into their appropriate directories.
If anyone wants to send me any aus LGT "tuned by" roms I will buy them a beer
I can host this a one big zip/rar file on one of my sites if you guys want - did it for the ricenet guys a while back

(I also have a lot of modified roms from myself and others but I won't be sharing those LOL 8)

Hmm there is one file under 05 labelled as an STI version I will check it out

Well the ROM I have was saved with 05sti in the file name, but the data showing up in RomRaider shows 06. Seeing as the STi wasn't released till 06 I presumed the filename was incorrect... if it turns out to just be a JDM rom, that would explain no differences!?

I would love to get a hand on the ROMS you have, if you could make a zip file available that would be fantastic. Are you sure you dont want to share some modified ROM files for the 2.0T? I would be forever greatful as apart from S&J and EcuTek there seems to be 1/20th of f**k all here in adelaide for options :|

The plot thickens. That ECU is for an auto 05 LGT rom BUT its also 1 psi more in the boost target tables than the manual 05 LGT rom 13.5 psi :?
weird

I do have a twin scroll jap spec one !

Be sure Check out the AVCS table too not just boost and timing

I've been looking at the AVCS, and it seems there is quite a bit more intake advance on the Auto's than the manuals, but exhaust has been the same for each.
I Didn't think to look at target boost as I presumed they were the same for each, thanks for picking that up. I've been looking mainly at Timing, Fueling & AVCS to try determine the differences between each.

If you use ECUflash you can get a bit more info on the rom itself. It looks like I have a few roms in the 04 05 and 06 directories that are misnamed not unlike yours.
I'm not sure If I have any modified earlier LGT roms actually but I will have another look.
In all these thing never copy the foreign rom directly, its best to copy the tables into a copy of your own rom. well Its not a problem with the earlier models but in the later ones its a big no no

I was wondering about the loading of the image and figured the ROM ID was important and I was thinking that I would copy the table values over. Thanks very much for clarifying that ;)

I have a copy of 1 custom tune, and the main differences I noticed was that there was increase in timing and fuelling, and increased requested torque on the DBW settings, but the AVCS was not touched as the reason given was the AVCS is a good blend of power and economy. However, from what I have read particularly with the 2.5 tuning is that the AVCS (intake only in that case) is often varied to allow much better gains, but no-one has been willing to share how much by (from what I can gather).

For the 2.0 rom I have, I will check with the owner of the car but should be able to share the file with you ;)

Hmmm you like Beer :)

OK all the files are located here on a 25Mb rar file ->> http://home.iprimus.com.au/surfleague/files/subaru.rar
You'll see quite a few variants of the AUS liberty round the 05 year and earlier heaps actually but the roms appear to be the same as far as boost and few other things
under the USDM legacy theres a couple of interesting ones. I'll dig through my other crap and see what I can find :D

Just downloaded the ROMS - cheers! :) However I have 1 question - Do you have a text file or word doc outlining what they all are? or do you just open them up in ECUFlash/RomRaider and get the details then?

That would be great Steve :) Can you organise a NSW person to help you out?

I could for sure.... who's got the required equipment?
if Parso_rex has it and it can wait a little while he could grab it at the dyno day? (happy to do it before then though)

no that would be too much to organise and yes your best be is to get a copy of both Romraider and Ecuflash both with the latest defintions. You'll see some roms there that aren't supported yet eg H6/09 LGT/and 09STI's
