Maybe he means a short block? i.e the block, crank, rods, pistons. No heads, no cams, no vvt, no intake etc. You can get an STi short block from Subaru for well under $3k.

Just a thought.. :search:

ill allocate 3k max to fixing this problem.... i can post up pictures to give you guys an idea of the hit :) ... the car starts... and no my dad will not be rebuilding it, he simply wanted to allign it to see if its starts :) hes no mechanic... i have mechanic friends though

and yes u are right... im not after ALL the parts of the engine (turbo etc) .... just the block .... or new heads .... the rest i will be keeping
