Engine hesitation

Postby Mjz » Fri Sep 28, 2018 12:52 pm

Hi I'm new to the liberty gt
I've just purchased a 2004 liberty gt auto
I was cleaning up and chasing an oil leak on top of the block and removed the tmic for access I put it all back together and went for a test drive realised I had not tightened the bypass valve so I had driven for a bit with it leaking but after resecuring it I've noticed a hesitation in the engine or turbo not sure what is happening or what I should be chasing now
On gradual throttle I can hear turbo spool and feel good power but if throttle hard it hesitates but will recover
Has anyone experienced anything like this before or has any ideas for me to be looking at
The engine had way too much oil in it as well
I'm not getting any fault codes either
Thanks for any help

How much is way too much?
Have you considered tactrix, Btssm or vagcom for logging your car?
