3 inch dump pipe to 2.5 inch stock exhaust

Postby 1dua566 » Thu Dec 29, 2011 2:10 pm

Alright so ive just gone to install my new HKS Dump pipe on my to 2004 Liberty gt and realized i cant use the existing doughnut gasket as it smaller than the new 3 inch Dump. I have found a Grimspeed 3 inch to 2.5 adapter that should work but cant find anywhere that will post to australia.. is there any other alternatives that anyone has used in the past to fix this? Also does the stock turbo heatshield need to be put back on or can i get away with leaving it off?

Any help would be much appreciated, Cheers

Leave the doughnut out and use a gasket, flange of the mid pipe fits to the 3" flange, use std nut and bolt.

I would suggest you simply enlarge the aperture of the back of the heat shield and put it back on. It's there for a reason.
