honeslty mainly for the boxer rumble i know you dont get as much power as you do from the even headers but before i do start on the power i really would like to get that note from the exhaust

Yes you'd need a new turbo. I think an STi turbo is fine - Speak to GT-SUBY as he has done this on his car.

You'd need to change the turbo, the headers, the dump pipe (a wrx one) which may need to be modified to ensure the wrx dump matches upto your existing exhaust system.
...and most of all a good tuner.

You know what's funny Jun and Amit, you both have black cars and you both told me about an issue you have with the turbo that sounds very similar... :P

:p the acutator is gone on the turbo, my tuner has ordered a new one from japan..... but depending on how the turbo lasts, if i do need a new turbo, i will be going the single scroll setup..

Mmmmm, are you sure someone has done this before & it's worked?

From numerous threads I have read in the past, it just didn't work... Plus the standard equal length headers on the GT are actually damn good & as a modder, I can't see the point in going backwards purely for the sound IMHO. If anything, it's nice the the EJ20T Libs sound different... It makes it stand out sound wise from all other Subaru's :) & with the right exhaust, they sound as good as just about anything else on the road :D

You'd need to change the headers if you're going single scroll!

Well basicall you're converting it to a WRX/STi. WRX or STi turbo, hybrid/bastardized Liberty downpipe with a WRX collector, and some other bits and pieces.
