if the car is in its warm up cycle it will be running rich. The catalytic converters heating up will also generate condensation in the exhausts. It is a consequence of using a fuel known to produce lots of carcinogens as against a fuel suspected of maybe ejecting lead into the atmosphere. Never mind the huge amounts of lead in aviation fuel....

If you drive the car really hard and don't cool it down properly, oil will seep through the turbo seals into your dump pipe, when you start the car it will burn those few drops out and create White smoke..

I know from experience :)

I had clouds of smoke coming out once when I had my B4 :)
Back to Subaru again.. think I would have learnt my lesson the first time round!
