Legacy 3.0R Spec B, questions

Postby kleinerbastler » Wed Aug 25, 2010 6:23 pm

Hello,
i´m a guy from Germany, unfortunately Subaru is not a common brand there. So i try to find some answers here.
I try to change the front open diff to a lsd, but all my enquiries ended sadly.
I found that Quaife offers a helical lsd until MY 2000, but they gave me just the advise to messure if it will fit .
So i´m looking for every experiences or a sercive manual for this legacy (MY 2005, 3.0R Spec B, 6MT) and this "problem".

Thanks

Try looking at Japanparts.com

You can also try looking at some of the big japanese brands as well like HKS, Trust, Mines etc etc on their web sites as they make after market stuff and see where that takes you.

Cheers.

Hello,
after spending a lot of time in the www and maybe thousands of mails. I´ve got just one positive info from the manufactors of diffs.
The Quaife QDH3Y will fit "plug´n play" to the Subaru diff case 38421AA080, wich is the one from the spec B 3.0r (and like from the STI 02-05).
Carbonetic will develope one, but....

But now I´m looking for a clutch kit, the clutch disk has the same part number like the STI one (30100AA930), but the cover has his own number (30210AA681).
Is it possible to use a stiffer disk with the orginal cover?
Or did anyone knows a clutch kit for the 3.0?
