3.0r-b clutch a little clicky/squeaky

I've started to notice that the clutch on my 2005 3.0r-b kind of clicks when I push it down sometimes, i.e. it is not completely smooth. There is also a light squeaking noise at the same time.

The car has 70,000km's and is driven gently most of the time.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

I'm no mechanical expert or anything, but as a guess the pedal part needs lubricating.
I googled and couldn't find anything about it rubbing against the housing or anything like that which I found for other car types, but I'm sure some more mechanically minded people on this forum can offer a better opinion.
But generally speaking if the depressing action of the clutch isn't smooth then that's the problem right there, I'm not sure on how you would go about lubricating it properly. I would like to say WD40 but....I could be very wrong, so wait for someone who knows more about this to tell you how to go about it.

Thanks, I hope now that it is just a lubrication it needs!

Anyone else have any idea? What should I use to lubricate it?
