Gday guys, well im new to this particular forum. Ive just purchased a 06 Blitzen Bspec lib wagon and gave it an oil change today due to noticing the oil level was at the add level on the stick. I changed the oil filter drained and added new 5-30w edge. Now the bottle is 5 litres. the manual did say it takes 5.5. after waiting for a while for the oil to flow I checked the stick and the oil line only came up to the add hole on the stick. How much oil do the H6 take? Im gonna have to get another 60 buck bottle. Also on a side not, it needs a 50 thou service. Has anyone one here in syd taken their car to Morano I think their called at croydon? Ive heard they do very good work with sports cars.

From the "low" to the "full" line on the dipstick is only about 500ml, so your observation is about right. Add in the missing half litre and you should be right on the full line.
If you're about to have a service anyway, I would have just topped it up, as they are going to drain it during the service.

Well, since you have just changed the oil, make sure you tell the shop that you take it to (can't help you with Morano sorry - never heard of them) not to worry about the oil change. Oh, and in case they try a dodgy on you - you don't need to change the timing chain (it's not a belt like the 4 cylinder cars).

thanks for the reply guys, I spoke to sonny from Morrano's in croydon park sydney. Very nice guy and looks after many hsv, prestige vehicles. has his own dyno and goes to the states as well due his expertise. Told him about the oil. he said that's fine however the 5-30 is too light for summer and it would have been better to put a 10 or 15 30w in her. so i bit the bullet and said okay re do the oil to be safe. I got worried about the levels when i read some threads on here about the big end bearing going. I panicked last night can couldnt sleep. How are your brakes on your libs? I think i need new front shoes. Ive noticed that they dont pull up strong like my 05 rexy did.
