Missing-snowman,

I sent you a new Logger file for Romraider to Log the 3 variables I really really need to make tuning effectively easy and efficient.

Please keep me posted

Dear 3R owners:

Some of you may be wondering why the price of tuning changes so much and here are the reasons why and it may seem that I may have to specify years so that certain years are not affected by pricing. To keep things fair. I am not out to rape money from people, but to justify work with cost. If you understand the needs of a particular person and going through data to provide the best possible custom tuned, you would understand.

As stated before, all cars are custom tuned. No two cars maps are the same.

It is seeming that 2006+ models need more development than what is supported in romraider and which many may not think. In other words, when you send me your 2006+ rom, 1) It might not be supported and I have to developed a definition where I can read it, so that I can tune your car 2) The logging program needs to be updated with your ECU ID for supporting parameters.

The process of gaining support can take up to a day or so, just to have something for tuning. So if it takes long for me to get back a tuned rom for you, please understand.

If you have any queries, you can pm or post here.

On another note, if you need to understand from a customer point of view the difficulties in 3R tuning, hit BlackFlatSix05 a pm or post here. There are others that can fill in.

As Edward has said, I am happy to assist with questions relating to his service or anything Romraider/Ecuflash related. I have given my mobile via PM.

again i can vouch for edwards service.
the man is almost always awake and is always updating and fine tuning the roms sent into him.
you just have to make sure with every log you update him with rough temp on the day, how fulll your tank is, and where possible try to keep each log drive as simular as possible ie try to drive the same patch of road the same way for every log.

I only need the same patch of road for Dyno-ing, but you can drive your life away any where for proper detail driving logs.

On another note though, where are my logs?

I need to get you finish.

Ah...ok :) Keep from porn. I spent about 6hrs trying to get a friend computer back up. May have been a face book issue. Finally, its working great!

I would love to replace my going 2yr dell D830.

v2 ROM has improved the linear throttle response without the sudden but exciting AVCS. No flat spots or hesitancy for everything above 2000rpm
Looking forward to seeing the Dyno chart.
Interested in raising the RPM limiter to maybe 7500 for the next version perhaps.

Lol. Heal and toe when shifting down. I haven't study alot of it really, because tuning your model is a little harder as I have to monitor ign, kc and other factors as I do not have 3 variables to help me :) one day I will take a look. Maybe I may replay the log in my Tuning class to my students and get them to tell me ;) But you drive like a youngster around 23-26yrs old. lol

Thats pretty high, as I do see you needed it. Remember that power drops drastically. But its your present for testing in v3.

Under 2000rpm is diff in ECO mode, since I cannot control fuel in this mod. I cannot find or determine maps in this area. I know the Turbo have maps for this mode.

Thank you Sir and thank you very much in your confidence. I hope she behaves well and the level of response you will be looking for, especially with the addition of custom tuning the Sport/Race DBW mode to your liken with make the car once again feel unique to you :)

would you be interested in me sending you the tune from my ViPEC ECU?

would you prefer to start from scratch or work from the existing tune?

how would i go about data logging seen as i use a USB cable to plug into my ECU and it's an aftermarket one (ViPEC V88)

and what sort of mulah is needed to get one of these custom tunes?

*edit*

ps. i'm going for all out power here, not so much fuel economy or drivability... though i'm to understand that fuel economy and a good tune go hand in hand... which must make my current tune crap (12.5l/100km highway driving and 15.5l/100km in the city)

Makes no diff. If you have a map already, we can tune from there. We need to talk live. Email me at socob.bb@gmail.com you msn and so forth. I will create a post on here for vipec if that is ok with you.

Use the tools they provide to you. See if you can export the log in csv format and in normal format.

But let's talk live and then post back here for future vipec users. Sorry to see you don't have a Hydra EMS :).

Just to keep everyone posted, tuning 2006+ models from logs is a little bit more involve as you do not always have all the variables to go through, like in the 2003-2005 models. Hence this is the reason for the price difference.
