Check engine light

Postby fg1972 » Sun Nov 08, 2009 8:41 pm

The CEL & a flashing CRUISE light came on today after my wife was driving in hot weather. It also has a flashing [S] transmission mode on the display. I have heard others having this problem when modifying intake and or exhaust. Does anyone know what this means? Does it need to go back to the dealer or is it just a matter of wiping the MAP sensor or waiting for the fault to clear? My car is stock standard BTW.

I had the same thing happen whilst on a road trip earlier this year. High speeds and hot weather.

It was the cam sensor as well. The lights will reset itself after 6 restarts of the engine. But the code will still be there for the techs to retrieve.

I had the same error on my H6, it was a knock sensor and for me it was due to driving 1000ks past when it was meant to be serviced and the oil was a bit iffy. :?
