the response is very quick and smooth after conversion and the major service!! is so beautiful!! but.....very heavy on step down!! its suck on traffic jam
on the statistics, there is 17% more tension on, but I dont think only 17% more pressure on my left foot....
btw, this clutch still running in, just ran abt 80kms, I hvnt pushed hard on it. but next time u can try on it!!

hey mate hows the clutch going now? has it lightened up a little?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing on my RB due to allot of towing. (boat)
I have a bit of shudder when taking off under heavy load with it and sometimes in just general driving so I think mines on its way out as well.
They adjusted it on the last service but mentioned it will probably need replacing.

cheers.

Which partnumber at Exedy have the clutch/cover which you use. Did you changed just the clutch disk or the cover too?

:( after my 4th 5th ? clutch from towing in a Lib I gave up and went auto .

My feeling is the clutch is a safety fuse and I would never be fitting a heavy duty one

Was towing a boat (GT LIB)1250kg  all replaced under warranty .It was impossible to reverse 50m up a drive without slipping and once it started slipping I gave it all hell :D
till the boat was under cover :D Then rang Subaru to pick it up and stick another clutch in   looking back it was 5 in 24 months . Then traded it in on a auto 3RB
problem solved

Wow..well Im glade I dont have to do any long reversing up driveways!

I had a 05 XT Forrester for a while and another boat which weighed about 1800kg and the XT struggled.
How did you find the GT overall with towing?

my current boats about 1200kg as well. tows great with the RB.

Wonder what the difference in the GT and RB clutch is?

glade to here it all got covered under warrenty. pain in the arse though!

The GT would have been the worst cars I have ever owned for towing .From Hills area to Hawks Nest on most week ends it would over heat if I sat on 100-110k and it would never know what gear it needed to be in . On a strait flat road it would change gears up and down for no reason . The transmission used oil ????

yeah I've heard that about the turbos particularly with towing.
Its one reason why I got the 3.0 NA RB! :D
Other then being slow off the mark with some of that missing low down tourqe the RB tows great!

p.s. I am doing a rotor upgrade to help stop a bit better but I also have 4 x disk brakes on the trailer so its not to bad anyway.
