Just downloaded the new defs.

Bit confused by the timing maps. There are 6 (ABCDEF) base and advance maps are now called Knock Correction Advance A and B.

I expected the fuel maps to be much richer going by my logs.

DBW has got me totally confused.

I did post my rom up on the RR forum but it looks like the Moderators removed it for some reason.

David.

sorry for the silly question

do you have to get a romraider installed in your car first? to allow to tune it after wards?

You don't install anything on your car. You download Romraider onto your PC or laptop and update the definition files to the new definitions dated 2/10/09 which include some of our roms. You can then use the Ecueditor to view and make changes to your cars rom.

You then need to download Ecuflash to enable you to flash your modified rom back onto your car.

Hope that makes sense.

You use "ecuFlash" to read and write the ROM from ecu to computer and back. (free from internet.)
you can use"ecuFlash" or "RomRaider" to edit the maps on the ROM. (also free from internet.)
you can only use "RomRaider" to log the ecu info while driving.

The new def release is a file that contains all the different memory address for all the different ecu out there in a subaru.
by install the defs for ecuFlash and RomRaider, it allows access to the new ecu's added. :)

Check you PM's

Also, I had mine on the dyno last Friday. Made 131kw in 4th gear. Mainline dyno at Port Hacking Automotive. It was pulling timing and IAM was dropping also but still made the same power as a 2.5 LGT on the same dyno.

Ecuedit is not a free program. Romraider is free and you can use the Ecu Editor that is part of Romraider.
