1. Avoid the obvious (United, Liberty? etc).
2. Go for 98 if available.
3. Most of the good brands are fine, Caltex, BP, Shell, Mobil.

Iv found the WORST FUEL (never used in my lib, but in my previous cars) is Fishers fuel! It made my calais run like SHIT and we have quite a few people bring lawn mowers, generators, chainsaws etc into my work that have put fishers fuel in and it wont run, not good stuff imo. Prolli not many fishers fuel stations around though?

Whichever of the big three you decide to use, try to stick with the same brand because the car does adapt that specific octane rating/mixture. I use BP Ultimate personally and consistently get a good tank. Shell Optimax I used to get about 1 in 8 tanks were pretty average quality so i stopped using them. On the odd occasion I use Mobil 8000 when there is no BP and I have never had bad tank from them.

I also use BP ultimate. Very good fuel and never had a problem with it!

Mine generally gets Mobil 8000 but that's more to do with pricing and location - there's more in my everyday driving than BP stations and the BP stations are just about always more expensive. In saying that though, it'll be fed whichever I run across if I am in need

I've tried Shell-95, E10 and VP, and my car runs pretty much the same on all of them.
Mobil 800, BP Ultimate and the Caltex premium one also.

I use Caltex Vortex 98.

Being a kart racer I've experimented with a bunch of different 98 fuels. The Yamaha KT100S Kart engine is very sensitive to fuel I race on Caltex 98 a lot of the other guys race with either Vortex or BP Ultimate. I personally have had bad experiences with Shell and haven't heard of any of the other guys using Mobil to race on.

If you want top quality fuel I say Caltex or BP

After a bad tank of Vortex 98 in the bike a few years ago, Caltex is my 3rd choice (after BP and Mobil). I realise it's not rational but meh
