Could be time to sell the Lib. The payments are burning a hole in my redundancy payout.

To business:

2005 MY06 3.0R Spec B
75000kms.
Full Service History (most at STi DOcklands)
Warranty expires at the end of Jan 2011.
50% wear on the tyres.
Clarion C-Net iPod adapter.
Cargo Mat.
Bonnet Protector.
Rear Step Panel.
Car is in great condition - just a couple of small scratches that could be buffed out and a small scuff on 2 alloys.
Thule Roof Racks.
No mods to the car.

So what do you think it's worth?

Not sure if this helps,
but I bought my my05 2005 spec b a month or so ago for $25 500, 49k on the clock with 3 months warranty, and probably similar condition to yours.
Althought to be honest I haven't seen one anywhere else for less than about $27 000 and they usually have 75k - 100k on them.
I think redbook.com has a pretty good indicator as well.

Anyway, hope that gives some idea....

I'd just be doing a search around on carsales for similar cars. look for the same engine, and eiither a year younger or older..
have a good look at the others that are for sale taking into account things like kms and condition etc etc.

when you're going to advertise it, throw a price on it that is a few grand over what you would be happy with. You might get someone who really wants it and will pay the price for it, or you'll have some room to negotiate down a bit on it too..

don't be in a hurry to sell either, I don't think it's a real good time to be selling a car...

yeah, one or two have bought for around 25k privately. Similar age and km's to yours

Yep two months ago paid 24k with40k,s on clock did need new tyres tho
you would be mad to sell it for less than26k imo as i paid that price (24k) from a mate who buys cars at trade and onsells to the caryards you see many 3.0rbs on car sales for around the 30k mark but i guarantee they will still be there in 2-3 mnths time
if your in a hurry to move on try for around 26-28k mark if not try maybe27-29k i dont believe you will move it for anymore than 29k imo

My 05 3.0r-b bought in May this year cost $23k with 50,000km's, a year of factory extended warranty and near new tyres, if that helps.

ive also noticed that in southern states there a lot cheaper too

Yeah, I noticed the same thing Dan. When I purchased my 3.0R in January this year, the dealer stickered price was $28,990 with 75,000kms on the odo. Glad that I was able to negotiate them down a fair bit on the price.

I hv tested a MY05 3.0RB in Glen Waverley Subaru dealer, which is selling $28K!!
- 115,000km ODO (100,000km service done)
- with Tow bar
- 2 more yrs extended warrenty
other than that, all factory options.

I try to pretend a potential buyer, lucky they didnt notice what i was driving... lol
final drive away offer was $26500.
so, for private selling $25000 is yr margain! Cheers!
but feel shame to see a Libs going away..........

I take it they were pre facelift...04-06?
Private or Dealer?
Also take into account when buying:
-Tyres if worn expect to pay $1000-$1800 for new set ....depending on how deep ur pockets are
-Rego...$800+ (qld) for 1 year
- Is it due for service?

Ipaid 24k for my my06 with 40k on the clock (private sale) by the time i put rego, tyres ,and 50k service on it which was all in the first three months of ownership it cost me roughly$26.500 which meant no mods ...yet

private and dealer sales. were dear tho.

ther's not much on car sales at the moment.

Dan: I totally agree with you! 18" tyres is bloody expensive, if u look for the factory RE050A, its worth $495 each!! and Subaru regular service is higher than othe Japs car, bcoz of the boxer engine!!

Hamish: it will cost u alot!! check it carefully mate! hopefully can get yr baby soon!!
