Bit of a trival question................where, if anywhere, is it recorded what the "MY" number is of my 3.0R B 5AT?
The manufacturer's plate has the car listed as being built in July 2007 (I took delivery on 13 August 07), so does this make it a MY07 or a MY08??

That should make it an MY08. Subaru conveniently aligns the Manufactuer Year with the financial year. So all Subarus manufactured between July 2007 and June 2008 are clasified as MY08.

Not quite right guys...
The MY designation for each vehicle is coded within the VIN. It is the number before the G that tells you what MY year the car is. eg. JF2BL9KJ..........
8G010101 This car would be an MY08. The production run is more like september to september for each MY year.

Good first post COS51E, and you're right.
Usually ticks over anywhere between July - September, although I remember one year I think the Foresters were as early as May....
