Jimbo, Tribeca comes with the 3.6L engine across their entire range

Gents.... we are a dying breed.
Not cool.
I'd like to one day get my hands on the 3.6L version though.
Yes it sounds like its gonna be a beast. It's a v6 isn't it?

They broke their 200kw limit years ago but not officially. Sti Imprezas and EVO Lancers have be dyno'd at up to 250kw out of the factory and the EVO MR at closer to 300.
By the looks of the specs 91mm stroke compared to 80 the 3.6 should have more pull but it'd be quite lazy in the rev dept. I like the way the 3.0 revs especially after a tune. The 3.6 in the GENV would probably make it feel like a 253 Commodore.
If Subaru gets really serious about cred, then they need to apply their turbo knowledge to the Liberty 3.6R to become a super contender in this class. With the basic chassis/drivetrain and turbo/engine technologies applied, it would not be unreasonable to produce a vehicle that would be up there with the GTR.
I live in hope of a ride like this from Subaru since the Japanese Auto manufacturers have busted their self imposed 200Kw limit with the Nissan Z and GTR vehicles.
Maybe in 2012 after the release of the new Liberty later this year, the next upgrade will see a turbo boxer 6! (Please ).
Kind Regards,
Mark.
